Yes. And no. Our lives are to be a witness to the Life that indwells us. But if our speech gives offense - and we Aspies surely know how to offend - then we should defer to those to whom God has given the appropriate grace. I used to be jealous of those who could lead someone to salvation; I wanted that job. I had to learn to rejoice in their salvation and trust that God would lead me in His time and by His grace to where and how I was to serve in His Kingdom. But once they were saved, all bets were off. They were fair game for me now!

I think the default ministry for many Aspies is:
1CO 1:26 Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
We represent a slap in the face. Because of this, we will not often be welcomed or embraced. But we will cause some to give pause and reconsider their conventional understanding of wisdom and, possibly, call out to God.

I believe God uses us in many. Diffrent ways just because we are. Aspies doesn't mean God can not use us. To spread his message I love God. Would die for him and I love. Being apart of the body of Christ.

As St. Peter tells us, we are always to be prepared to give an answer for our faith that we hold, when asked (I Pet 3:15). Note that this presumes that the interlocutor first asked us, not that we initiated the conversation. Also, St. Paul tells us (Eph 4:11-16) that different Christians are given different gifts, some to be apostles, some pastors, some evangelists, etc. So use your gift, which ever it may be. When I was a rather new Christian, I once signed up for the church's door to door evangelism ministry, patterned on Kennedy's Coral Ridge approach. I made an effort, but honestly I dreaded the Wednesday evenings when we went around. I didn't know at that time that I was an Aspie, and had no explanation for my inability to "connect" with people so that they would be receptive to what I had to say. It was like giving a canned speech, which in fact it largely was, and people could tell that. So I was ineffective in this ministry. Since those long ago days I have focused on an intellectual defense of the faith, writing on such things as foreknowledge and freedom and the relationship between the Christian faith and modern science, specifically physics.
