I have been posting on WrongPlanet.net, which is generally hostile to Christians, and on Christianforums.com which has an Autism/Asperger's forum, but I am not getting much response. Even for an Aspie I'm wierd, apparently. I googled "Christian Asperger's Forum" and after several pages, this came up, and just as I was about to give up.
So here I am. Where is everybody?

I googled and found this site too. I got tired of explaining AS and why I was an Aspie to church people. Most Christians don't understand AS and I have been told by them, that I can be "healed" of AS, if I have enough faith to ask God to? When did AS get to be a "sickness"? LOL God created me differently. Still some will not take the time to "understand" what an Aspie is and they want me to "change"?. I'm quite happy the way God made me. Why would I want to be "healed", since I wouldn't know what "normal" is?...

I can't deal with people, have meltdowns if I don't manage my symptoms, don't get much of non-intellectual discourse, etc. Political correctness would have us deny disabilty as "differently abled."Biblical correctness would have us cured or repent of the sin of AS. And then there's reality. I, too, would not trade my AS to be "normal." What a horrible prospect! I have discovered things and ways and see the world in ways NTs cannot. And they benefit from the evil that the evil intend with their perversions of God's good. Gen.50:20 |
