I have learned to keep my mouth shut and direct questions about salvation to those who can handle it gracefully. Grace is not my strong suit; intellectualizing is.
As I said in another post, tongue-in-cheek, since my Dx I have a license to be rude. That license in not valid in the Kingdom of God. I give simple, factual answers when I can, but since I cannot relate to people, and my salvation experience ought not be repeated to unbelievers lest they think I am delusional (I needed irrefutable proof from God and He honored that), I defer to NTs whenever the subject arises, except to add factual information.

It's tough to balance my natural rigidity and inability to relate to people with what we are commanded to do in Mathew 28:19. The times I best am able to do that is when I am completely submitted to the Holy Spirit and I feel him leading an opportunity. I have a couple of preplanned stories to share about my faith and how my life has changed since accepting Christ as my savior.

That mostly parallels my experience. Not all are given the gift of evangelism (Eph 4:11-16). I also took the intellectual road in defending the faith, having written on foreknowledge and freedom and the relationship between the Christian faith and modern physics.
