I am 55 years old and I received a diagnosis this past week. There are Aspie characteristics I can relate to, but there are others I read about that I don't identify with. (For example, noise in church doesn't necessarily distract me or hinder my worship experience.)
I think that coping with Asperger's is the same as coping with all of the stresses of life. I need to stay close to the Lord and listen carefully to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit. The more I do so the better life works out. Also, the less I do so (fill in the blank- we've all experienced what happens).

Glad you're here. Congratulations on your Dx! I'm 56 and Dxed a little over a year ago. There are many things to learn and understand about yourself and your unDxed past. A great book on the subject is Tony Attwood's Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome. It has helped and continues to help me tremendously. Also, watch HBO's Temple Grandin. you can rent it where you rent DVDs. I am still discovering things about how to manage my symptoms. Let me know if I can help in any way.
