Psalm 1
1:1 Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
1:2 but his delight is in Gods's law.
On his law he meditates day and night.
1:3 He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water,
that brings forth its fruit in its season,
whose leaf also does not wither.
Whatever he does shall prosper.
1:4 The wicked are not so,
but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
1:5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
1:6 For God knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked shall perish.

It is so true. It upsets me that so many people don't realize or want to realize that this isn't about a "religion" or ideology or philosophy, but about ETERNAL LIFE.
Pretending like it isn't real won't make it go away.

I suppose like everything else in society short terms goals mean more to people than long time goals. Thats how a lot of people get into trouble.

I agree. I think for many it is easier to look just in front of you instead of down the road. It is sad.

27All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
That scripture made me cry when I first read it. Dysfunctional family was an understatement for what I grew up around. I had to seek God on my own with little to no help from anyone around me. It seemed God was the only thing that could comfort me. I could not escape oppression from my home or school so this was very comforting to me.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me.
This verse means so much to me:)
